Private Sonoma and Napa Wine Tour from San Francisco

Can’t say enough about our private wine tasting and tour. The company contacted us well ahead of our visit to coordinate wineries. We had already made tasting reservations at Domaine Carneros and Mondavi, with lunch at Auberge du Soleil. Our driver, Lonny, suggested Caymus. What a great suggestion! Beautiful garden there, great wine. The sparkling wine at Domaine Carneros was so good. Beautiful estate. Our driver, Lonny, was terrific! Friendly, knowledgeable, cool guy. Drove us by the Palace of Fine Arts on the way out for a photo opportunity, and on the way back a photo opportunity of the Golden Gate Bridge. Even drove us down Lombard Street! I’l request him by name next we go back. The private car and driver is definitely the way to tour wine country! And I’d recommend during the week. Not as crowded.

This was perfect for 7 of us. Nice to have a driver and not a full bus load. Drawback was he didn't have much information on the area for history. The information that was shared the people in the back couldn't hear. I have been on a bus tour before where the driver was very knowledgeable about the area. No regrets just different way to go to the wineries. Have to make your own reservations for wine tasting usually if there are 6 or more. Do it early I had a hard time scheduling and not being able to get to one of them because they were full.

Lonny was a great tour guide. Very flexible and willing to accommodate our wishes. We would definitely choose this company again for a private wine tour.

Having a private car to see the napa valley and experience wine valley is the way to go. We would highly recommend. I would say our driver was just okay though, I would suggest not having Edward.. He was a bit of a buzz kill so too speak so he wasn't incredibly enjoyable as he wanted to talk about his activism, politics, philosophies and beliefs. He also was consistently running late. We had two appointments at wineries, both we arrived 15 minutes late.

This tour was extremely disappointing for us and not what we expected when purchasing. First of all, I find the description of the tour to be a bit misleading - this tour is simply booking a car and driver and nothing else. It does NOT including any tastings or reservation assistance. In fact, we did not have communication with an actual person until the morning of our Napa trip, which was a bit unsettling when trying to plan and confirm a timeline. I called the car company ahead of time and they told me eventually someone will get in touch with me, but it was too early to contact them. The vehicle and drive itself to Napa was extremely unpleasant. There were four of us and our driver showed up in an old rundown town car, where 3 people had to squeeze in the back seat for 2 hours each way. The a/c even went out during part of our trip so we were cramped and hot for most of the drive. The driver was nice enough, but I wouldn't call him professional by any means. We also thought we would receive drinks going to and from Napa, however, we received nothing on the way to Napa. When we were about to head home, our driver offered us one bottle of champagne that we had to finish quickly just to make it back to the city in the time that was on our agreement. He also only had enough water for us to each have a small bottle of water - not really enough after a long day in Napa. Overall, the trip just felt really stingy and cheap. It was really disappointing for the amount that we paid for it.

Our driver was amazing! Told us much more about the area and we loved every second of it! We would recommend this experience in a heartbeat!

We spent a lot of time at 2 wineries out of the 6 and were fine with that decision! No rushing and plenty of wine to choose from while getting a wonderful tour at Benziger! Highly recommend it! Very enjoyable day

Stellar!!! From the service, ride, sights, details, etc. This was one of the best things my husband and I could have done. Our driver was amazing and had a wealth of information about the area which made us feel more like a local rather than a tourist. They helped plan most of the details of our trip and we were super pleased with it all!
