About this activity
Meet your small group in Savannah's beautiful Historic Downtown to begin your savory and sweet journey through the flavors of this lowcountry city. Learn about Savannah's long and colorful history, grand architecture and easygoing way of life from your informative local guide as you make your way through the city's four original squares and along its scenic waterfront.

Along your route, visit several different restaurants and food shops to sample a wide array of local specialties such as shrimp and grits, pork belly donut slides, Scottish and English cuisine (a nod to our city's founders) and one-of-a-kind honey. (Tastings subject to change without notice). Establishments you visit may include Savannah Bee Company, Molly MacPherson's Scottish Pub, 22 Square Restaurant, and Pie Society. A non-alcoholic beverage sampling is included, and you can purchase additional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (own expense) if you wish.

You'll find your many food tastings add up to a fulfilling lunch. Though your walking tour travels almost 1.5 miles (2.4 km), the pace is not rushed and you'll have two rest breaks totaling 45 minutes. Your 3-hour culinary and cultural odyssey in Savannah concludes at the City Market, where you can discover more dining options. Or, use the map provided to you to retrace your steps and revisit favorite restaurants and shops from your tour.

My husband and I loved this food tour. The restaurants were fun and the food was excellent! Our tour included shrimp and grits, sausage rolls, sheperd's pie, pork belly sliders and bananas foster french toast. We finished our tour at the Savannah Bee Company which was wonderful! You are definitely full by the end of this tour. Highly recommend this for a fun day!

Very informative. Super knowledgeable and friendly guide Lisa. Only reason not a five was some of the food. Doughnut slider way too sweet, dry cottage pie. Very tasty sausage pastry at the bakery and shrimp and grits were delicious. Loved the honey store.

We only had two days in Savannah, had never been before. We had also heard that there were many great restaurants and an excellent food heritage in Savannah. We chose this tour to give us the historic overview we were looking for while sampling the delectable cuisine that Savannah is known for. Our guide, Anne, was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. An excellent way to spend a few hours. we thoroughly enjoyed our time. And - we were very full by the end of the tour. Consider it a bargain when you consider all the food that is served and the knowledge you gain!

This was such a fun tour. There’s not a lot of walking but you can pretend you’re walking off the calories. An eclectic mix of restaurants with very generous portions at six stops. Note — this is not handicap accessible (in fact, it doesn’t seem that much of Savannah is...) It was a small group, probably about 12 or 14. We introduced ourselves at the first stop. It helps to be good adventurous. Shrimp and grits with truffle butter; a British hand pie; shepherds pie, pork belly on a donut!

Took my family from NY on the foodie tour. They loved it. Thought the food was good, with an interesting variety of tastings. The portions were very generous, too. Nice restaurants but also some historical insight about Savannah.

Fantastic way to view this city! Food choices were diverse and interesting. Best shrimp and grits I've tasted in the South. Tour guide Cortes was charming, informative, and entertaining.
