Stop At: Royal Palace, Sothearos between Street 240 & 184, Phnom Penh Cambodia
After hotel pickup, set out to explore the city with a private Khmer TUK TUK or air-conditioned vehicle depend how many people join the tour. First, marvel at the lavish Royal Palace and step inside to see the glittering Silver Pagoda. Learn more about Cambodia’s fascinating history as you explore the National Museum, where the vast collection includes Khmer sculptures and Angkorian artifacts. Make a stop at Wat Phnom to admire views over the city, before breaking for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, the former Security Prison 21 (S-21) and one of the most notorious sites of the Khmer Rouge regime. Continue to the Choueng Ek Memorial, also known as the Killing Fields, another important site in remembering Cambodia’s tragic history. You’ll also have time for a visit to the Russian Market, where you can shop for souvenirs and traditional handicrafts, before being dropped back at your hotel.
