This Behana Waterfalls tour is a canyoning tour run out of Cairns by passionate locals who want to share this natural waterfall spectacle with people from all over the world, and they pride themselves on being 100% eco-friendly.
After pickup from your Cairns accommodation between 8am and 8.30am, arrive at the gorge and soak in the beautiful sights. Receive instruction on rappelling techniques on the safety of flat ground. You’ll start our adventure near the top of the gorge and abseil into the fresh water. From here, swim, walk over rocky gorges and through the tropical rain forest, leap off rocks into the deep pools below and canyon through Behana Gorge. Don’t worry, anyone of a reasonable fitness level will love this adventure.
Hungry yet? Lunch will be provided and there is time to chill out for a while and enjoy this beautiful area that nature provides. After this, head back to Cairns and you'll be dropped off at your accommodation before 4pm.

This is a must-do activity if you are staying near Cairns! We didn't quite know what to expect from this tour, but it was better than we could have imagined! The guides are so fun and make everyone feel at ease and encourage them to face any fears you may have. Safety is the top concern, but adventure is a close second. We were tempted to rebook for a couple days later just so we could experience it all again. Book this tour!
What an awesome way to see the Behana Gorge and experience tropical rainforests of FNQ! Sam and Dom were great guides, very encouraging and always made sure you felt safe and comfortable. They provide you with just about everything you need, including a wetsuit top. All you need is swimming gear for your bottom half and shoes that can get wet. The photographs they take during the day were great and very reasonably priced See attached examples. Thanks for the great day!
This excursion was by far my favorite experience during my trip. Guides were well qualified, patient and encouraging. Activities were challenging yet doable. I felt very accomplished after our day in the gorge.
It you want something completely different from the norm do this one. Sam was an excellent instructor and be prepared to come right out of your comfort zone....watch your footing and wear grippy trainers, beautiful setting and lovely waterfalls.
It was a very exciting experience, it took the whole morning and part of the afternoon and we wanted more. It felt very safe and the guide seem very experienced. We went with our 12 year old girl and she enjoyed more than anything. it is the perfect activity to feel adventurous but safe
