Costume Photoshoot in Nara

Create unique and unforgettable memories with the detailed costume experience and watch yourself transform into a Samurai, Princess or Tayu (courtesan) over the 30 min to 2.5 hour small-group session (time varies depending on the costume you choose). Held in the center of Nara, Japan’s ancient capital, you will be greeted by expert staff with a wealth of knowledge. As this is only for two people at a time, you can enjoy the full attention of staff and take your time. You can select the outfit of your choice from a wide range of beautiful traditional pieces with experts on hand to offer advice. During the session, rather than using wigs, trained hairstylists will carefully set your hair, or if you pay an additional 2,000 yen, they will recreate the authentic appearance using your own hair and beautiful decorations. When you are ready, the staff will help you dress in the many layers, slowly constructing your complex outfit with accessories and amazing attention to detail. When you are ready, you can enjoy the photoshoot, with guided poses and help to create the perfect look—all at your own pace. You can help select the final high-quality shots and will receive them on a pen drive to treasure as a unique reminder of your travels in Japan.
